I uninstalled Cubase 8 thru 10.5 over a period of 4-5 years or so and want to clean my Windows file explorer of old files and folders. The problem is this Cubase8 folder with a blacklist xml. file will not go away. It wants Administrator permission to delete with the folder or the file. When I change to Administrator in the properties window and try to delete it , it changes what kind of Permission it wants

to another one. So I went to Command Prompt and failed to delete it there after trying several methods. My question is can anyone show me how to delete the folder or file?

on command prompt need a space after del

what the exact error message when you try to delete in explorer?
I got several of them. Unexpected was one , then no such command or incorrect volume label syntax, file name or directory name. I copied bother the folder and file "path" and pasted them into the command prompt and keep getting denied. Those show up in the Command Prompt. What shows up in explorer is what I said in the beginning. It gives me the run around saying access denied need. Administrator permission needed then it denied again with that saying I need "users" permission or something.

a folder and file path is not a command. Don't use command prompt if you don't know how it works

on explorer. try to take ownership of the folder. make sure you doing it on the folder, and not the parent

I put a space between the command(DEL) and the path and it worked it deleted both the folder and the xml. file. Thanks
