Hi, I'm looking to get a new laptop for college with the capability to run the programs mentioned in the title!
1. What is your budget?
College student, so as cheap as possible. I want to TRY and stay below $1,000
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15.6", 16", or 17.3", even more if possible (The larger the better, but if it's going to be a large price difference, smaller is okay)
3. What screen resolution do you want?
Doesn't matter to me, as long as it can show vids in full HD 1080p
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Desktop replacement
5. How much battery life do you need?
Not that important, just as long as it can run for at least maybe an hour and a half without dying.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty Ultimate(Max)/High
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.)
Video editing: Adobe CS5- esp. Premiere, After Effects
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
not that much, maybe 320gb?
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

I'm not Toshiba-specific though, just what I was looking at.
10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
4+ years
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD ROM/Writer
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I need something that'll last more than 4 years, and I've used Toshiba's recently to decent success, so I was looking at those, but I'm still open to everything. I want to stay away from macs, I like the greater compatibility of PCs.
13. What country do you live in?
United States
14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I hope this can help people to better find their ideal notebook.
Additionally... you should also consider what support options are available in your area. If say you buy something abroad, will you be able to have it fixed near where you live? Does the warranty apply? How quickly do local accredited technicians fix laptops?
