New laptop has weird sounding/feeling "p" key

Solution
Since you just bought it, go exchange it for a new unit. I for one wouldn't be satisfied with problems right out of the box.

Only thing i would recommend is to remove the key (pry upwards). But you don't want to start screwing around with a new laptop that has warranty.

Most stores have good policies when it comes to electronics. Check your receipt for any information on their policies. It's going to be atleast a 30days exchange/refund policy. Since it's only an exchange they should have no problems at all. I would be totally surprised if they refuse it.
