new laptop help

Hi
Just wanted advise on purchasing a laptop. It will mostly be used for making documents on microsoft word and probably for netflix. My budgets around £450. Can push to £500 maybe.

Which of the two below are better? Or are there any other ones anyone would recommend? Thanks

If you wish to watch Netflix @ 1080p, neither of those fit the bill.

The second one is better obviously. And I don't think you would have much trouble streaming 1080p on it anyway.
Although I would rather suggest going for a slightly old but better laptop.

Try the Acer Nitro Models maybe, they come pretty cheap these days.

My point was that neither laptop has a 1080p display. They are both 768p.

Also, the OP stated that MAYBE they could stretch their budget to 500 British Pounds. Your suggested laptop is 900USD, which converts to 694 British Pounds. Not to mention pretty high priced considering the crappy GPU (although it MAY have other attributes which make it worth the price).

I'm not too bothered about the display. Im more concerned about memory processor etc as I'll use it mostly for documents and need something that will last
