new laptop problem

i bought an asus laptop 2 days ago. Everything is fine except that i noticed a slight alignment problem when i close the lid and the optical pad is also a little bent on one side more than the other and on the top of the screen the plastic is very slightly loose (noticeable if you're looking for it).Maybe i'm just obsessing but are these kind of things normal for a new laptop,i mean can these things be passed through the checks when they are manufactured.
P.S all these "defects" are slight but noticeable especially the alignment thing.

New laptop should not have alignment issues. This points to a lousy install process. I would exchange it being that you just purchased it.
