My new LG HD tv does not pick up any signal from my Dell pc which is only two years old. My TV asks if I want to use HDMI when I first connect it but then it reads 'no signal' ...

I have unplugged and re-plugged everything but still nothing ...

Any ideas?

Assuming that your new TV works for other sources then the pc video resolution may not be compatible with the TV. Set the HDMI out as your 2nd display and to the native resolution of your TV.
It can be tricky to get a TV to lock onto a PC as the TV isn't always looking to "handshake" each input and the PC doesn't activate the 2nd screen until it detects that screen is on. Try changing to a different input and back a few times quickly. That works sometimes.
