New netflix issue with closed captions

It is occurring with the latest releases like Dumplin' and Black Mirror Banderswitch. Everytime the closed captions change a large translucent rectangular black box appears over a large portion of the screen. It does not occur with my smart tv or when I Chromecast. It makes it impossible to watch with my phone or tablet. The older titles work fine

You need to contact Netflix about it. It must be on their end.
