Hi All,

I have a spare room now in my flat, its quite big and im thinking to use the whole wall as a projector, its flawlessly white

my two questions are,

for that room im going to buy a laptop especially, and projector will go plonk in the center of the room, can projectors be used on the floor? Its a rented flat so can't mount it on ceiling yet.. there will be couch on back wall and im thinking projector can go on floor, 2-3 metres away.. or closer. will that work?

I need a projector with low input lag as I'm a fifa addict ( pc version ) so play a lot of online games, does anyone have any good recommendations of a projector with low input lag and one that can be put on the floor?

I think we can rule out 4k projectors, as the poor laptop wont be able to handle that resolution

My budget is £1-2K

I can provide pics of the room if it helps

At 2-3 meters, you'll probably need a 'Short Throw' projector as the screen size will be quite small. Most projectors will have a recommended screen distance in their specifications.
As for response/input lag, projectors are essentially like LED screens. DLP projectors might have slightly higher response time, but to be honest, if it'll play videos and it looks great, it probably will play games just as well.

Edit- Also, go for a higher Lumens rating. You'll want 3000 or higher for bright rooms. Also, contrast ratio will help, 25000:1 or higher. Something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Optoma-GT5000-1080p-Entertainment-Projector-White/dp/B01D4EE9B4/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1510936035&sr=8-9&keywords=short%2Bthrow%2Bprojector%2B1080p&th=1

I was thinking of this one, it has low input lag too?
