Kryppy,
Thanks. I don't know what a tsreader is but I will try to enter freq and
SR as you suggest. Getting close I hope and thanks again.

Kryppy,
Indeed I do. A big strong one at that (90% Quality) but none of the
various scans I did came up with anything at all. I am not sure what I am
waiting for from you but I'll be delighted to get it.

Alan,
I have locked a SR of 1700 on my Pansat no problem. The lower SRs do
lock slower.

Same here. I can go below 2 Ms/sec with my Fortec.I've tried scanning it
manually, auto scan and even a network scan, but I can't pull it in either.

Mike,
I have a "transponder" set to the info I have for the Gem Shopping
Network. As you say it takes several seconds to show up when I look at it.
Would this slow response interfere with the PanSat 2500A identifying the
channel during a scan do you think.

It now seems that this channel is now encrypted. Damn it!! Why I wonder.
Seems stupid to hide a channel devoted to selling stuff. Lyngsat will be
updated.
I suppose I now give up or do illegal things!! Fortunately (perhaps) I
don't know how to do the necessary illegal things :-} Thinks "I wonder how
I could find out".

For those good folks who have tried to help me on my quest I thought you
might like to know that the most excellent dealer I bought my PanSat 2500A
from tried to get access to the Gem Shopping Channel for me yesterday. He
also found a strong signal but did see some pictures before their official
start time (8 pm). Later on the channel was asking for a smart card and
wouldn't let him in. No idea what system or what card or how to subscribe.
As my dealer says "Very strange"

I am not seeing the carrier right now at all. I see it is listed as
encrypted on lyngsat. Lets see what happens at 8pm tonight.
It does sound like they are testing and implementing encryption.
It is not unusual for something to come up FTA and scramble when it
starts.

This is why everyone use to warn you over and over not to buy one for
one specific FTA channel because they all eventually do go away.
I'll bet everyone who ignored that advice when UPN went mpeg
is happy now, even if they won't admit it because they want to blame
the internet for the new format.
