I just signed up for Verizon DSL service and am trying to install on a Dell
Inspiron 5100 laptop. The installation CD tells me I need an NIC to complete
installation. There is an ethernet connection on the back of the laptop and
the manual says nothing about needing an NIC to hook up to high-speed internet.
Is there a problem with Verizon, the laptop, or do I need an NIC? If so ,
what NIC should I get?
Thanks,
Fred
