Nikon coolpix s9100 not turning on

Hi, I have a nikon coolpix s9100. I have full charged the battery. When i push the power on button the green circle around the power button lights up and there is a beep. The LCD does not come on and the Lens does not go out. The green flash indicator (the light that indicates that the camera is charging) flashes rapidly. The LCD did come on once for a few seconds and showed the set date and time zone screen and when i selected no the LCD went blank. The camera may have been charged with an incorrect voltage charger - I do not recall. PLEASE Help! Thank you

"The camera may have been charged with an incorrect voltage charger ..." What makes you say this? Was the charger voltage higher than the recommended voltage?

You may change a battery and see whether you can turn on the camera.
