This article makes it seem like your new DSi will be a boat ancher because it cannot play games from Japan....

This is not a new concept, the older cart based systems (Genesis/Nintendo) had regional locks which made it impossible to play "some" overseas games.

Most people will not be affected by this news..

The spokepersons explanation is a load of cack. What they mean is "by locking software to specific regions we can cream more money out of the public by screwing the cheap import of games"
