No audio from TV speakers DVI to HDMI - solution?

Hey there,

I know there's no sound with DVI, but I was wondering if I could reroute the audio from the xbox 360 to the TV speakers not through the HDMI? I am fine with getting analog sound.

Or could I put the audio from the xbox 360 to external PC speakers?

You can use device like this one to "inject" Optical Audio Out from XBox into HDMI stream going to the TV, but I suppose you won't like the price 😉

If you are using HDMI for video out from XBox, you can decode optical out into RCA with something like this, and then feed the signal into powered speakers.
