No audio through my hdmi

Gday. I jave recently aquured a pioneer sorround sound system and have set everything up to work my my pc.

Everything works fine. I get tv from my set top box. But when i flip to the channel that my pc is plugged into i get visual but no sound. Its set up witv a hdmi port from my gpu to the reciever. My sounds is set to nvidia high definition.

Any help would be appreciated.

By "My sounds is set to nvidia high definition.", you mean the Playback Device via the small speaker icon in the lower right screen corner?

Select that device and click properties to go in a bit deeper with the settings.

i should add that i previously had this pc connected straight to the tv via HDMI and i didn't have any problems, the only thing i have changed is adding in the receiver. I will have a play with the settings and see what i get.
