No bootable device? Please help!

I was cleaning my laptop and alot of buttons were getting pressed and the screen got zoomed in and i couldnt fix it So i went to restart and now it says no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key. I dont have whatever disk its asking for. The laptop has always started up no problem. i dont know much about laptops but if the disk actually goes in the disk tray, it wont open so i cant check. no bootable device points to bad hard drive. You should always turn your laptop off when cleaning it.
