No response

I was trying to change the background on the today screen
and my ppc (ipaq 3800) froze up. I tried to soft reset and
there was no response. After that I tried to hard reset
and nothing happened except the screen faded to the off
position. Now I cannot turn on the unit.
Is the unit dead? Has anyone had this issue or another
like it????

Connect it to the charger (maybe the battery went down) and make soft reset.
Probably you've already done that... but nothing more comes to my mind.
