Right, running into a bit of an issue on Windows 10 on my Asus N551JX.

This is the second installation, the first one was done via upgrading from 8.1, which was extremely buggy. Now, I have a clean install with none of the problems I was having, but it has one new problem: The SonicMaster subwoofer included doesn't make a peep. The drivers are installed, and Realtek does detect it. The sound even temporarily goes off like it's supposed to, but nothing happens afterwards. The subwoofer hasn't fallen, infact, it hasn't moved an inch from where it was on my desk the entire week, which was before upgrading to 10 (and it worked fine). The cable isn't under any stress either. Is it bust or has someone got a clue what's going on?

Hi,

Please do try to uninstall and reinstall the driver for both audio and graphics. For your audio driver here's the link https://www.asus.com/ca-en/support/Download/3/712/0/5/tYrhvMHs9HzGPlu0/41/ and for your graphics card download and install it from NVIDIA support site here's the link also. http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx. Be sure to uninstall both drivers first before installing the new ones.

Before all the updates to be performed as described in previous comments, make sure to check if you have plugged into the sub-woofer slot completely (I mean plug-in fully until the yellow ring), you should hear a *tick* sound
It's hard for a couple of times in the beginning.

Hope that helps anyone else facing the problem :)
