no sound paying dvd movies

We have always had sound playing dvds. Now we have no sound playing dvds but we do have sound on our tv/sat.

Unplug the DVD player from the mains socket -- wait a few seconds -- then plug it back in. That will reset it and should restore the sound. Happens with with my DVD player every few months but the unplugging trick always fixes it.

Note: you must unplug it from the mains socket, just turning DVD player off and on at the front won't reset it.
