No sound through speakers after I installed new video card.

No sound through speakers after I installed new video card. USB headphones work. Onboard sound enabled on asus m5a97. AMD sound drivers disabled. Speakers set to default. What haven't i tried?

Is the default playback device now set to the new gpu? They have a 'soundcard' built in too to pass audio thru to hdmi.
Rt click your speak icon and then select playback devices to check.
