No SPDIF port on TV

Hey y'all, so I have a surround system with a SPDIF connection chord and I just got a LG TV that doesn't have a port for it, what are my options? Would a HDMI converter from Amazon work?

Yes but ONLY if TV HDMI is ARC capable.

If stereo is all you need, a cheap AtoD converter may also work assuming the TV has headphone_out.
