The day M$ adds Internet Explorer on the 360.. is the day that the RROD is a simple cut and Bandage thing...

Imagine all the Hackers Bricking all those IE equipt 360's .... scary...

Now if Google would only Release their browser on the PS3... Sony Would OWN!!!!!!!!!

"Another reason to drop the consoles and buy PC."
"IMO: Web browser is only meant for PC!"

I know tom harware is mostly computer builder and xbox fans, but crap every on on here has a computer to for a web browser and most computer are good enough to play most games. I one computer (built myself 3 years ago), 1 laptop, wii and PS3, the more they do the better.

web browsing on atv is fine, once one the ps3 I wa able to do hulu, Back in the days of vgi to tv the image was crap. Todays hdmi and dvi looks fine. Also get a wireless keyboard with a builtin thumb mouse, they makes things easier too. The problem with surfing on the ps3 is it is slow and to compound it it works fine on a lnux PS3, which I haven't yet updated the firmware.

This really is all about Microsoft's ruthless control of our hardware. I plan on making a nice HTPC sometime (hopefully later this year), and it'll essentially do what MS is saying I don't want my Xbox 360 to do.

The man's clearly lying through his teeth about things. It is what people want because it's an option, and telling us we're happier having no option than the option of choosing for ourselves is such a douche thing to say.

[citation][nom]zeroman76[/nom]Now if Google would only Release their browser on the PS3... Sony Would OWN!!!!!!!!![/citation]Sony won't let them. Don't you think Firefox and Chrome would both make great free downloads for PS3 owners? Oh, too bad Sony isn't going to allow it.
[citation][nom]razor512[/nom]I remember back in the day when I used to use my sega dreamcast to surf the web.
...
If a company like Sega could get ti right so many years ago, why cant Microsoft do it?[/citation]I love my Dreamcast - for gaming and homebrew! But web browsing? Even the last web browser version was still complete SUCK compared to a PC. It was a last resort sort of thing, and plus you were running at 640 x 480 (preferably with a VGA box on a monitor) so you didn't have the kind of website real estate you could on a PC running even at 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.
[citation][nom]xophaser[/nom]My brother put linux on the PS3 and that browser was fast and looks great.[/citation]Oh you mean that OS that Sony deleted from the Slims, and is looking to kill on the old fat PS3s? Guess he'll just have to avoid ever updating.
