Nokia 6230i software update problem

when I tried to update my nokia 6230i firmware using PC suite version 7.1.40.1. software is downloading but it is not recognizing my phone through USB connection. I tried both data mode connection and other also. what could be the problem. please help me

I would check for yourself but a quick look at the Nokia site suggests that the PC Suite is not compatible with many of their phones -- I can't see yours on the compatible list.

means is there no phone with this model in Nokia?
what could be the reason?
As I observed in Nokia 6230 and 6230i are same with only one difference - there is no camera in 6230.
but PC Suite should identify it.
one more thing PC Suite is identifying 6230i for synchronising and other functions but for software updating even in USB connection also it is not identifying. that is the issue

I would like the software update because I couldnt save the tuned fm radio channels.
