[citation][nom]Gin Fushicho[/nom]Less money for Nokia then, their new phones won't be recognized because people will want "An Android phone".I'm sure most people will walk in and go "is this an Android?".[/citation]
This is exactly why don't want to use Android. Soon you see iPhone, Nokia, WP7 and Android. The only ones that will be reminded as a brand will be Apple and Nokia. The rest will be Android phones, and the cheaper will be the one that sells more.
Soon Motorola, HTC, SE, Samsung and LG will start to face competiotion from Huawei, ZTE and small Chinese phone brands. By then, they'll be fighting for small hardware margins, as Google is the one that will hold the App Market and the profits from App sales. Now, take a company like Motorola, that was struggling not a long ago, and you can see that their future may be grim.
This doesn't mean that Nokia will succeed in their strategy, but in the long run, it might turn to be a better option than adopting Android. Evenmore, when they already have a hold of 40% of the world's smatphone market and are number one on feature phone market, which they'll be moving Symbian^3 and ^4.
