Normal gaming notebook temps?

I just ordered a msi ge60 apache pro gaming laptop and it's said under max load to have the cpu and gpu run at 90c. Is that normal for gaming notebooks?

No, 90C is not normal. If temp comes in range of 70C-79C, its the warning stage. And if goes above 80C then better to stop gaming. Otherwise laptop will not last long. Try to buy a good Laptop Cooler also to maintain temps.

hello there as ak195 said it is not normal and specifically with that laptop model it has only 1 cooling fan and 1 exaust vent where as the new MSI GE62 apache has 2 cooling fans and 2 exaust vents

It is on the upper end of the spectrum but I would get a cooling pad just to extend the life of the rig.
