not starting when i press start button it doesn't show anything

My laptop's window is currupt first automatically and now it is not swithing onn it's not responding and yeah it has battery problem too it's 3 cells are damaged so how can i get it onn back and i wanna formate it too without lost deta from hard disk (D) soo plzz help me to formate it or any trick for that so inform me that too plzz

First, I would get a new battery. It could be causing problems
If, once you have a working battery, you still have the problem, pull the hard drive and put it on a different machine and see if you can navigate it. If you can, then get a new HD and install it, install the OS, then pull your data off the other drive.
