note 2 firmware update...is this legit?

I have a Samsung galaxy note 2. I got a message that I need to update my firmware. I have set auto updates on.

The update is 700 MB in size, which is quite large. So wondering is this update is legitimate.
would you guys recommended that I upgrade?

i'm guessing your carrier is pushing android 4.3 to your phone so yes do update it there are a lot of improvements from 4.2 (i'm guessing the firmware your'e currenty running) to 4.3

My current version is 4.1.2

I just did a quick check, went to settings -> about device -> check for updates.
I get the same thing. Looks like the android os iitself is pushing this out...similar to Windows update

yup just do an update no worries and it should update your note 2 to 4.3
