Solved! NTLDR error message

I cannot boot-up on my HP Compaq nx400. The error message I receive is NTLDR is compressed, press CTLT, ALT DELETE. When I do so it comes back with the same error message and I cannot get the laptop to reboot. Help please? Thanks in advance! Regards, Ron

Do you have your XP installation disk handy?
You can do a 'Repair Install'.

Here is an option to uncompress the NTLDR without having to do a Repair Install.

Decompress by using ‘attrib’ command on NTLDR
