nvidia geforce 820m 2gb dedicated graphics not working as it should be

I got an hp 15 notebook with the following specs -
intel i5 - 4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.40GHz
Installed RAM - 8gb
1gb integrated intel hd graphics
nvidia geforce 820m 2gb graphics.

With such specs i am not able to play any kind of high end games like NFS, Battlefield, CODMW4, prototype 2 and so on, It lags up time to time and the sounds also gets stucked sometime.
My friend with the same specs as of mine is playing all the above games smoothly with just 4gb RAM.
So, i would be thankfull if anyone gives me the solution.

Unless you assign the high performance Nvidia GPU to your games, they will default to using the weaker Intel HD graphics processor.

Right-click a game shortcut, choose "Run with graphics processor......." from the context-menu, then chose which graphics processor you want that game to use.
