Nvidia GT 640M less preformance than Intel HD 4000

Okay... People tell me all the time that my Nvidia GT 640M should be a lot faster than my Intel HD 4000 but it isn't at all.

My Intel runs games much smoother than my Nvidia card and about 20fps faster.
And yes I am 100% using the same settings and 100% using the latest drivers

specs..

Intel Core i7-3635QM CPU @ 2.40GHz
8 GB Ram (7.71 Usable)
Windows 8.1

Any help appreciated

League of Legends, minecraft, age of Empires 3, robocraft, etc. Not sure it really matters though
