Nvidia GTX 960M not detected

I was trying to do some gaming this evening when I noticed my laptop was running off the integrated intel card rather than the GTX 960m.

- I first checked for driver updates. There was one. I tried installing it but it failed to install because Geforce could not find the proper hardware. Strange.

- My next step was to do a clean reinstall. I uninstalled all the drivers (using DDU) and did a restart.

- Went to the Nvidia website and downloaded latest drivers. Same issue as above with install.

-When I boot in safe mode, I don't even see the GTX in device manager. Under display adapters is the intel only (even after showing hidden devices).

I'm at a loss of what to do next. Any help is appreciated!
