I had a question about microsoft office software. I'm looking to get the professional edition and was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the academic edition and the normal exorbitantly priced retail version? Here are a couple of links to some that I found to illustrate.

academic

retail

I'm just wondering if the academic professional edition could really be a full version. Cause I'd really like to have access and outlook in the office suite.

I finally found out the difference. If anyone is interested it's strictly who is eligible to use it. The program is the same just different license rights.
