Lol. Stupid police officer, thinking that basic rights don't apply to those who are against him. This is proof that idiocy is hardly monopolized by the USA.
The basic concept of Defamation is that it has to be unfair at the very least. Given the officer's actions, I don't think the (comparatively moderated) attacks could be considered "unfair."
And mind you, this is going by the (much more plaintiff-friendly) defamation law they have in Canada, which is almost a mockery on the rights of free speech. In the USA, the First Amendment (As shown in New York Times v. Sullivan) ensures that not only does the purported defamation have to be untrue, the teller has to KNOW it's untrue. And I don't think that US law would allow a US citizen (who is NOT a Canadian citizen as well) to be tried under foreign law that would violate their US Constitutional rights.
So I guess it sucks to be you, Officer Bubbles. And you should be ashamed of yourself as well: you tarnish and defame the reputation of police officers as a profession.
