Anyhow, my laptop came with a cyberlnk PowerDVD 10 player that does not play Blu Ray discs.
I got a Samsung BD-h5900 built in wifi Blu Ray player that is hooked up to a big screen TV.It plays DVD, Blu Ray discs, and Netflix find through the TV. Now here's the problem. The TV is used by my family most of the time and I would like to watch Blu Ray discs from the player to my laptop, via wifi. Not the other way around, which is answered in abundance on the internet. I can't be the only idiot that has thought of this. Please help.

you can't. laptop video ports are only out, not in. if you are using a desktop to play blu-ray, there's a possibility, but using a blu ray player, it's highly unlikely.

I was looking for a solution without wires. I am a retired Ca. Lic. Smogtech and an advanced level auto electronic diagnostic specialist for Nissan. We used a type of VPN link for the shop, but I don't think that is needed here. My thought is that if my laptop can talk to the printer via the router and the Blu Ray player is talking to the same router, then could a video signal be picked up via WIFI to the laptop. We did a lot more exotic stuff in auto systems, which use CAN (controller area network).

I have Parkinson's and I am disabled now,so I don't have a lot of income to buy Cyberlink PowerDVD 14. I have the latest drives. This is why I'm running Windows 8.1 off an old Asus Laptop, which works fine. I'll just save enough to buy it. I was given the Blu-Ray Player for my birthday last year. Thanks for your answer Wolfshadw.
