Hi!
I recently bought a new LG TV, and I am now wondering if it would be possible to connect my old Sony 5.1 surround sound speakers to it.
The speakers are part of a DVD receiver (Sony HCD-DZ560).
Can i avoid using the dvd receiver and connect the speakers straight to the TV using some kind of an adapter or converter?
I dislike the concept of having yet another remote in use.

TV model: LG 65UH650V
Speakers:
Sony SS-WS80
Sony SS-TS80 x2
Sony SS-CT80
Sony SS-TS82

You can't use the speakers without the dvd receiver. You need the surround processing and power amplifiers built into it even if you don't need the DVD player.

Solution

Are there any small and cheap amplifiers that use a simple I/O? Most amplifiers I came across were really expensive and had loads of ports. Could i then buy new speaker cords and connect the speakers trough that?
