old 7 verses new windows 8

Hi,
I have a hp pavilion I’m currently running windows 7 dv6 windows experience 3.4 Intel core 2 duo cpu t6600 @ 2.20Ghz Installed ram 4.00GB 64bit operating system
the laptop I’m interested in is the Pavilion 15-n090sa which has an
AMD Quad-Core A Series processor
AMD Quad-Core A8-4555M with Radeon HD 7600G Discrete-Class Graphics (1.6 GHz, 4 MB cache, 4 cores)
Chipset: AMD A76M FCH Special features: Touch display
Memory 8 GB DDR3L
So my question is would this new laptop be a downgrade and slower than my current dv6 ?
