old hardrive wont boot. bought a new one and now i cant get into bios

Bare new hardrive and brand new windows 8 , but cant get into bios. Please help

Does your laptop display anything when you turn it on? It is possible you ESD'ed it (Electro static discharge) and shorted it out [don't have to feel a shock for it to happen]
