old home cinema connect to tanix tx3 mini tv box

i have an old home cinema sony and i want to connect to a tv box..can i have the 5.1 sound?

The HTS has an optical audio input.
The Tanix has optical digital audio out. You need a toslink cable to connect them.
You may need to turn on and configure the digital out on the TX3
