Old HP vs new HP display

New hp pavilion laptop display not as good as 8yr old pavilion. Old one has AMD A8/Raedon Dual Graphics. New one is Intel i5 7gen shares. Is new one inferior?

Probably both, the display is not as bright on the new one and colors not as vivid. Laptop is used for photo editing and correction, hard to get right if colors are not good

Take it back and play with something in store then.

Laptop panels are made by a variety of manufacturers. Most (but not all) 1080p displays are pretty good. Most 1366*768 displays these days are pretty awful; that USED to be the high-end laptop resolution, so they were made to be more vivid.

Can’t take back to store, bought online direct from HP. Was discussing possible upgrade for old one with hp tech support. They offered new model at a good price and assured me it was as good as or better than old one. I don’t think it is. Still trying to get hp to take back and refund money
