Old IMEI number

I am looking for the IMEI number for an old phone that I no longer have. I called the phone company and they said that there is NO record of my number on my account. Is there some place to go to retrieve this info just by using the phone number? OR is there some where to look to see where this phone was at on a certain date years ago?

Even though the phone company claims they do not have any information for my number, they have sent me copies of old bills that I have requested. So they obviously DO have my old phone information.
