Old Sony VAIO RAM upgrade question

the specifications say it supports ddr-3 1066mhz max 8gb

currently at 2x2gb (4GB) i want to upgrade the ram to 2x4GB(8gb)
was thinking about this one from new egg cuz its on sale but its 1600mhz

i plan on upgrading the hdd with a samsung 850 evo 256GB ssd
and then upgrade to 8 gb ram
this should be sufficient upgrades for another 5 - 10 years of video watching and web browsing needs right?

*a lot of multitasking windows thats why i am opting for the 8gb ram
