So about 1-2 months ago, i spilled chocolate milk on my laptop and the on button wont work. I thought if i left it, it would eventually work but as expected, it didnt. When i charge it, the light still turns on so the laptop still works but the on button wont. I just wanna see if there are any home remedies before I actually get it professionally looked checked and fixed. My laptops a lenovo ideapad 100-15IBY if it helps.

It is most likely dead. Since it's a lower end laptop, I would just buy another of the same model rather than paying someone to replace the motherboard and possibly other parts. Cost will probably be about the same. If you did not damage the hard drive you can probably just swap your drive in the new shell. https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-100-15IBY-80MJ00G2US-Notebook-Celeron/dp/B017GCQSQY or look for a used one on craigslist or ebay.
