One PC. Two locations

I have a PC that I run Kodi for streaming movies, TV and pc games. I also use my pc for general use and AutoCAD and Inventor (drafting).

I'll be moving to an apartment and would like to put the PC in the dining area and my TV in the living room. They will be close to each other but not quite close enough to run an HDMI cable between.

I have a receiver I'd like to run the audio through too.

My current idea is placing my PC under my TV, getting the IOGEAR wireless GDHDSTX (Amazon link below) and a wireless mouse and keyboard for my desktop and running it that way.

My questions are, will this work? is this the best solution to my particular problem? is there a cheaper way?

Thank you for reading this and your replys

Yikes, that looks expensive. And the reviews look like crap... Are you running Windows 10? if so, you can try using the "Microsoft display adapter V2". I can wirelessly connect to my TV from across the house (30+ ft away). Audio and Video plays OK to my standards. I don't think this supports surround sound though... A nice set of wireless keyboard/mouse should accomplish what you want?

I do like that idea a lot. I'm worried about the response time. I mean, it doesn't need to be seller but, good enough that I wouldn't notice that my pc isn't connected to my monitor when performing everyday tasks.
