Solved! One side of my headset works when i use audio jack

few weeks ago my laptop's fan get damaged and i had to fix it by myself. After i fixed the fan and i put everything back i tried using the laptop. When i plug my headset using audio jack the sounds come out on one side of the headset only but when i use usb port it works fine. im wondering if my motherboard got damaged or its a software issue.

Try another set of headphones, try your headphones on another device, that should tell you where the issue is.

It would not be a software issue unless you changed something aside from just opening the system.

i did i tried using usb headset it works fine and seems the problem in the audio jack or mobo itself

Try another 3.5mm headphone not a usb one. Checking with another type of connection won't show you anything.
