Solved! Onkyo HT-S3800 receiver not picking sound out from LG smart TV

Onkyo HT-S3800 receiver not picking sound out from LG smart TV.

Sound from Youtube, Netflix apps running on TV is not picked by receiver. I used ARC and digital optical audio out cable too.

HDMI ARC of TV connected to Receiver HDMI out (both supports ARC). Digital audio out of TV to Digital audio in of receiver. But still no luck.

Onkyo:
Did you set ARC at HDMI Setup to ON ?

Which LG model is it? Can you set audio to digital in the LG menu?
Did you set the correct source in the Onkyo menu?

Usually ARC and optical have to be turned on in the TV menu. You may also have to turn the TV speakers off too.
The ARC and optical connections at the receiver may have to be assigned to an input name in the input set up menu.

Hi All,
Thanks for your valuable information. After setting up ARC option in Receiver setup menu, the audio output from TV is being received by the receiver. It worked finally.
ARC and optical was turned on in the TV menu.
