Opinions on a laptop!!

hello,
I have been looking at a lot of laptops lately and i found this one in newegg.com:

ASUS G53SX-NH71 Notebook Intel Core i7 2670QM(2.20GHz) 15.6" 8GB Memory DDR3 1333 500GB HDD 7200rpm DL DVD±RW/CD-RW NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M

I was wondering if you guys have any opinions on this laptop?
Would this laptop be good for a computer science major?

I will be using it for photo and video editing, programming, mild gaming, etc..., i just want to know if it has the power to do that stuff?

It is certainly powerful enough for the uses listed. Also, Asus generally produces very good systems. This is a good choice.
