I have an old Bose Lifestyle 28 II non HDMI AVR...
What is the best way to send Audio to it?
From not only mu Blu-Ray Player but PC also...
I want 5.1 from my PC also...

Solution
What BluRay player do you have? What Audio outputs do you have on your PC? What inputs do you have on your Bose unit?
Generally, you would get the best results from either the optical or co-axial connections.

Thanks clarkjd, I have a Sony BDP-S270 Blu-Ray player and it has (all) Audio outputs

The PC has a RCA Coaxail Out and the standard Realtek 3.5mm Analog in/outs (6 total)
I'm using a HDMI out of my GPU to TV

Bose Lifestyle 28 series II... Has a single Master S/PDIF input/output and also seperate Coaxial inputs for each device

No, it's because your Bose has co-axial inputs.
Both Optical and Co-axial are digital connections, so, both would give you 5.1 channel sound.

Yes... I am heading in that direction. I will use the Bose for something else... but not a boat anchor, as of yet.
