I have an Apple TV (3rd generation) and want to hook up the audio to my shelf speakers that has and 3.5mm input jack. Is there a cable that can do that?

you could google optical digtal to 3.5mm adapter and probably be ok with any of the 13,653 different products that come up.

Anyone aware of adapter that does the opposite? i.e. convert 3.5mm to optical? I want to connect Amazon Echo to my Griffin 20 which has only optical input!

Same advice I posted months ago, google it. It's not hard. You might be better off looking for RCA to optical and then use a 3,5mm to RCA adapter. Should cost under $20

Well I did google spent an hour looking for something and then I decided to ask for a recommendation. RCA will not help at all since neither has RCA ouputs or inputs!! Gee thanks for the help...

and if you READ WHAT I SAID, it was to use a 3.5mm to RCA cable.

need a 3.5 to RCAb coax NOT a 3.5 to RCA splitter! for this converter. I DID read WHAT YOU SAID you are just partially wrong with your info...
