Optimus T+gingerbread

Hi all,

Does anyone have an experience with the Gingerbread hack on an Optimus T? I am just entering smartphone-land and the Optimus T seems to be a great deal, but I may be shooting myself in the foot by buying an old smartphone. Ideas?

By hack do you mean installing a 2.3 gb rom on the phone instead of the existing 2.2 froyo or earlier manufacturers rom preinstalled?

Rooting and romming isnt too hard if your phone doesnt have a locked bootloader. If it does its trickier but still possible. Ive seen original droids still around.

I have a droid incredible, rooted running miui 2.3gb. Originally it was stock 2.2.

Just search to see that roms are available before getting a phone if that is your wish.
