OS not able to upgraded anymore

I've heard that after 4-5 years, my smart TV will have to be replaced due to software upgrade issues. Is this true?

In 4-5 years the maker of your TV will likely stop creating updates for your TV. This may present a security concern if a new threat is made but not patched.

But outside of that, no there is no "upgrade issue" that will require you to buy a new TV.
The maker of the TV si not going to intentionaly "break" it in software to force an upgrade either.

U will be lucky if the vendor issues updates at all. TVs are not PC.
