Output source for a stereo dvd receiver with only inputs

I have DVD home all in one theatre system. It only has inputs NO outputs. TV has only HDMI and Digital optical source. The receiver has neither one. What can I do to source an output so I can play audio sound through the surround sound speakers?

If you use a set top box then use that to connect to your system with L/R analog audio. If not you need an Digital to Analog Converter with Optical in. Google it.
